Little ones were treated to a storytime extravaganza recently when Bookbug Week was celebrated at Dumbarton Library.
The wonders of reading were opened up to young children through short stories, rhymes and songs.
And the free event proved to be a huge success with the Dumbarton's smallest bookworms and their parents.
A spokesperson for West Dunbartonshire Council explained the benefits of the Bookbug sessions: "The Bookbug session was very popular with a number of families bringing their children to participate in this interactive event. The children and their carers joined in with songs and action rhymes and enjoyed the book, Baby touch and feel Baby Dinosaur.
"Each session lasts around 30 to 45 minutes and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and informal.
"Bookbug sessions are ideal for families to spend quality time with their children while meeting other mums, dads, grandparents and carers.”
