The children attended a debate on water shortages in Palestine — they have been learning about the lives of children in Palestine and the school has been paired with one in East Jerusalem.
After the debate, the children met Dumbarton and Vale MSP Jackie Baillie, who gave them a personal tour of the Parliament including her office and the debating chamber.
During the tour the children met and spoke to Tricia Marwick, the Presiding Officer, who was very impressed at their interest in international issues. The children have now been invited back to give a presentation to the Parliamentary Cross Party Group on Palestine.
