Officers gave the warning after a 28-year-old man was found dead in a house on Munro Street, Alexandria, on Tuesday (April 15) afternoon — that was followed by the death of a 24-year-old woman in Whitecrook Street, Clydebank the following day.
Police attended the Munro Street incident at around 4pm, being called to the incident in Clydebank the next morning — she later died at 10.30am.
Inspector Neil Smith told the Reporter: “I can’t stress enough how dangerous illicit drugs are. I would strongly advise people not to take them and stay away from any unknown substances – no one can predict the risks involved or the serious consequences. “The content of the drugs is often unknown and people need to understand the devastating effect they can have.” Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
