Around 25,000 arrived in Levengrove Park to experience the Scottish Pipe Band Championships in the shadow of Dumbarton Castle.
The event is the largest free pipe band tournament in the world, with more than 120 bands competing.
As well as the thrilling day of competition and pipe band music, visitors also enjoyed the annual Highland Dancing competition.
And West Dunbartonshire Leisure’s Sports Zone offered a range of free activities and games for all age groups with a Soccer Skills School, a Commonwealth Games Challenge, Clubgolf and mini-sided football games.
