‘Nelliefest’ will mark the brilliant party nights that used to be held in the Elephant and Castle.
The Elephant and Castle, better known as Nellies to regulars, was a popular pub on the town’s High Street, but closed more than a decade ago.
Dumbarton man Jimmy Johnson, a former DJ at the Elephant and Castle, has created an annual tribute night to the pub in town centre boozer The Burgh Bar.
The 2014 Nelliesfest event is being staged in the Burgh’s lounge on Saturday, November 8 from 7.30pm-12.30pm, with music favourites from Elephant and Castle back in the day played out.
Tickets costing £5 are available from The Burgh Bar and all all ticket money will be going to the Beatson Cancer Charity.
