Now in its second year, the Clyde Community Investment Group (CIG), based at HM Naval Base Clyde, holds a monthly raffle — with all the money collected going directly to the local community.
In November, Dalmonach Disabled Club and Rockvale Rebound — the area’s talking newspaper — both shared in the proceeds.
The cash will pay for club members to go on an outing, with lunch, to see the George Square Christmas Lights and pay for running costs at Rockvale Rebound.
Speaking at the event, a CIG spokesperson, said: “We sincerely hope that the money can make a difference just before Christmas and can be put to good use.”
