SENTENCE has been deferred on a shoplifter who stole clothes from the same Dumbarton fashion store on two separate occasions.
Renton man Francis Smith, 40, had pleaded guilty to both charges at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.
On the first occasion he stole a number of items of clothing from Peacocks in the town’s Artizan Centre, Dumbarton, on March 14 last year.
Five days later Smith returned to the shop and stole two shirts.
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry deferred sentence until February 25 to allow Smith to be of good behaviour and called for a supplementary social work report to be prepared.
