Area manager Jim Hymas will take over from Deputy Assistant Chief Officer Paul Connolly as the local senior officer for the area.
Mr Connolly has has been promoted to head of service for West of Scotland.
Mr Hymas told the Reporter: “It’s a tremendous privilege to become local senior officer and I know I’m inheriting a terrific team.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to build on our already strong partnerships with the police, the councils, health boards, and active citizens throughout the area.” Mr Connolly said his successor will be ‘outstanding’ ni his new role.
