Some local football stars of the future were showing off their skills south of the border at a recent summer football festival.
The Haldane United under eight team travelled to the Flamingo Land football festival in North Yorkshire to take part in a tournament with five other teams in their group from across England.
The club sent two teams to the festival, played five matches in their group each against teams from south of the border, with the club named the best team of the day.
The kids also had the opportunity to take in the sights of the theme park alongside the football.
A club spokeswoman said: "The kids had the most amazing time at the festival and really loved every minute. We'd also like to thank Cucina restaurant who sponsored our strips for the trip and also for the forthcoming season."
