THE fire which killed a pensioner in a street in Dumbarton is not believed to be suspicious.
The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, November 4 at a property in Smollett Road, Dumbarton.
Despite frantic efforts from firefighters to administer CPR the victim, aged 66, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has since been named as Archie Arnold.
An 89-year-old woman was also taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
But this week a spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Following a joint investigation the incident is not believed to be suspicious."
