BARGAIN hunters started their Christmas shopping at Alexandria Parish Church’s autumn bazaar. And last Saturday’s event raised £2,500 for church funds.
Stalls sold books, plants, gifts and Christmas cards and there was also a tombola.
Betty Gill, secretary of the social and fundraising group, said: “We’re very pleased with the money we raised. It’s money we didn’t have in the morning so we are delighted. There was a good turnout which was great because there were a few other things on that day.”
