A RENTON street was opened moments after closing thanks to a good Samaritan stepping in to move a fallen tree.
Renton Road was closed shortly after 3.30pm today in both directions after a tree fell on the carriageway.
Police were on directing traffic at the scene, which occurred close to the A82 slip road.
However, mere moments after the incident was occurred a driver passing by with a tractor offered to move the tree.
With the assistance of officers, the good Samaritan moved the tree off the road to a safe site were it will be collected later today.
The road has now reopened.
