A pair of good Samaritans stepped in to help rescue a woman from the River Leven.
Police said they were called out to reports of a woman with no shoes on, upset and shouting in the street in Renton.
When they arrived shortly after 4pm on Sunday, August 2, the found the woman at the footbridge across the River Leven at the edge of the water.
She had been in the river but had been pulled out by two passers by.
The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was taken to hospital for assessment and later released.
