No time to debate urgent issue at 4-HOUR meeting
AN opportunity to put pressure on the Government to block the parole of axe-murderer Thomas McCulloch - preventing his arrival in Dumbarton or the Vale - was lost on Wednesday.
Double killer McCulloch is expected to go before the parole board this month and if released, will be heading straight for West Dunbartonshire.
The alarming issue has shocked the community and has been described as being the most pressing matter in the minds of the majority of the area"s residents.
But at a four-hour meeting of West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) on Wednesday evening there was not enough time to debate the matter.
The debacle was slammed this week.
