Top class comedy returns to Dumbarton
THE Red Door Comedy Club is returning to Dumbarton this month after two very successful dates at the Denny Civic Theatre earlier this year.
This time however they are bringing some comedy royalty along. Michael Redmond, star of the Channel 4 comedy series Father Ted is headlining the show with support from Graham Mackie, Susan Morrison and Scottish Comedian of the year 2011, Jamie Dalgleish.
Tommy Fox and Jacqueline Novosel, owners of the concert and comedy promotion company Sold Out Scotland first brought the comedy club to the Denny Civic at the end of May this year and again in August with a selection of sidesplitting acts including Gary Little, Tony Law, Billy Kirkwood and Scott Gibson. They are returning on Saturday 26th November with an even bigger line-up and have plans to bring back many more acts to the Denny Civic Theatre in the coming years.
Dumbarton man Tommy, 27, said: "So far we have hosted two nights at the Denny Civic, each one a roaring success. It's great to see people turning up to support live comedy. There are stand-up comedy nights springing up around Dunbartonshire including Garry Little's Thursday night at the Doghouse Bar in Balloch and local comic Gary Black's Saturday night at Dempsey's in Alexandria. Everyone loves to laugh and in these times, it's great that we can"
The comedy night kicks off on Saturday November 26 at 7.30pm with doors open at 7pm.
Tickets are £8 in advance or £10 on the door and are on sale at McDermid's Newsagents including Key Store in Dumbarton, Key Store in Alexandria, News Plus in Helensburgh and online at www.ticketweb.co.uk. A night not to be missed!
