Pipe band's role at crunch qualifiers
A PAINTER and decorator has revealed his pride at playing in front of 50,000 Scotland fans at Hampden last week.
Drummer Ian Munro, who is a member of the Scottish Power Pipe band, was pitch-side at both World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Holland.
As part of the pre-match entertainment, it was Ian's job to make sure the Tartan Army was in full voice prior to kick-off.
And even though the final game ultimately ended in disappointment, the 32-year-old, from Park Crescent, Dumbarton, revealed that he would jump at the chance to play at a Scotland match again.
Scotland failed to qualify for World Cup 2010 despite beating Macedonia 2-0 last Saturday, as the squad were then defeated 1-0 by the Dutch four days later.
Ian said: "I'm gutted the team didn't win, but they still did us proud - if I get the opportunity to play at a Scotland game again I would definitely take it."
