A BEAUTIFUL Alexandria girl has been crowned Miss Junior Loch Lomond Shores 2010.

Competition organisers said that despite the incredibly high quality of entrants this year, young Imogen Ferguson, five, was a clear winner.

Crowned Miss Junior Loch Lomond Shores at a special ceremony at the shopping centre on Friday, Imogen joined her mum Anne Marie to pick up her prizes which included a £50 cheque prize, a 24-inch framed copy of the photo and goodie bag.

Proud Anne Marie, who entered Imogen into the competition after seeing an advert, said that the family was delighted that Imogen won.

She told the Reporter: "We don't usually enter these things but I thought I'd enter her for a bit of fun.

"We didn't expect to win."

To enter the competition parents had to fill in an application form and children got a professional photo taken.

Anne Marie added: "The following week we got an envelope which was from Loch Lomond Shores and we knew she had won.

"We jumped about mental when we found out and we've been on a high ever since.

"Imogen was really excited between getting the letter and the photo shoot."

The youngster, who has a brother Mark, 16 and sister Eryn, three, is going into Primary two at Jamestown Primary after the school holidays.

A special ceremony at Loch Lomond Shores was held on Friday where Imogen was officially crowned Miss Junior Loch Lomond Shores 2010.
