SWITCHOVER: Digit Al was the mascot for the digital change

THOUSANDS of viewers will NEVER receive a full Freeview telly service - leaving them without some of their favourite channels, the Reporter can reveal.

Transmitter bosses confirmed on Friday that they have no plans to upgrade a vital transmitter leaving more than 20,000 irate residents without channels like Film4 and Sky News.

The failure has whipped up a storm of protest with Gemma Doyle - MP for West Dunbartonshire - leading the calls for something to be done.
