STAFF and pupils from Our Lady & St Patrick's High School are celebrating after being awarded one of the best Her Majesty Inspectorate of Education (HMIe) reports in Scotland.

The outstanding report follows the inspection of the school in January when the school was awarded "excellent", the highest possible assessment, in three evaluations and "very good" the second highest grade, in the other two Inspectors were so impressed by the school, they have identified areas of "innovative practice" they would like to learn more about and share with other schools locally and nationally. Inspectors praised the outstanding leadership of the Headteacher, Charles Rooney, whose leadership is highly valued by staff, parents and partners.

Mr Rooney said: "We are obviously very pleased with the report. It clearly captures the values that are at the heart of the school. "We believe that the report, not only, reflects well on staff, our students and parents, but also on West Dunbartonshire as a whole."
