DISCOVERY: Police recovered the man's body from the River Leven

POLICE have confirmed that the body of an unidentified man was found in the River Leven last week.

Officers taped off the area surrounding the Balloch Hotel in Balloch Road, after they were received reports of a man in the water at 7.50am on Tuesday May 2.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police added that the man is beliveved to be in his 40s and has still to be formally identified.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
