Recently revealed government figures have revealed that in total 2,971 energy efficiency measures, such as loft and wall insulation and new boilers, were installed in homes throughout Dumbarton, the Vale and Clydebank during 2013.

The number of efficiency measures delivered in the area is also reported to be above the British average.

Nicola Sturgeon, deputy first minister, said: “While we have managed to help thousands of households in Scotland to have warmer, more energy efficient homes, with independence we would be able to change the way energy efficiency is funded to help even more people.”
