Now police are asking for help after the 82-year-old was targeted by the man, said to be of Eastern European appearance.
The man engaged the woman in conversation, distracting her as he reached into her trolley, unzipping her handbag and stealing £98.
The incident happened at St. James Retail Park at around 11.20am on Friday, April 4.
