Levengrove Park will welcome thousands of pipers including the current world champions to compete in the Scottish Pipe Band Championships.
More than 120 pipe bands from the UK and abroad are set to compete in the shadow of Dumbarton Castle, in what is the world’s largest free pipe band tournament.
As well as a fantastic day of competition and pipe band music, visitors will also be entertained throughout the day with the annual Highland Dancing competition. Kids will have plenty to keep them occupied with West Dunbartonshire Leisure’s Sports Zone on site offering a range of free activities and games for all age groups. Youngsters will be put through their paces at Soccer Skills School, a Commonwealth Games Challenge, Clubgolf and mini-sided football games. Visitors who are driving to the event should adhere to the many parking restrictions and follow advice from the stewards.
