That's after Ross set a new Commonwealth Games record for the 200m breaststroke in his heat this morning.
And the news gets better for Ross, beating fellow Scot, title favourite and poster boy for the Glasgow games, Michael Jamieson in the process.
Ross will now face Jamieson and the rest of the qualifiers in the final tonight at 9pm.
