Stephen Graham, of Brunswick House, Mountblow, in Clydebank, denies taking the car in February this year.
The 18-year-old also denies driving the car without insurance and without the appropriate licence.
Mr Graham also denies stealing a quantity of petrol from Dumbarton service Station.
He will return to court on October 1, with a trial date set for October 31.
