MSP Jackie Baillie will go toe-to-toe with Danny McCafferty on the issues during the Scottish Campaign on Welfare Reform debate at the Mitchell Lighthouse in Glasgow city centre.

Ms Baillie will be joined on the Better Together team by Mike Dailly of the Govan Law Centre. Mr McCafferty’s compatriot for Yes Scotland for the August 6 debate has still to be confirmed.

Organisers say this is a “perfect opportunity” to ask burning questions on the future of the social security system following the vote on independence on September 18.

The debate will be chaired by Stewart Paterson, political correspondent of the Evening Times, with questions from the floor.Doors open at 1.30pm, with the debate starting at 2pm sharp. For more information head to www.cpag.org.uk/scotland/SCoWR
