The man sustained fatal injuries following the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Reporter understands emergency services were called to the house on Luss Road around 3.30am on Sunday morning, with witnesses and neighbours reportedly hearing shouting.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm a 21-year-old man has been arrested and is presently in police custody in connection with the death of a 33-year-old man on Luss Road in Alexandria on Sunday.” Forensic investigators and police officers surrounded the house on Sunday morning, taping off part of the area to passers by as they conducted investigations. A private ambulance was also in attendance.
The 21-year-old man is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court this week in connection with an alleged murder charge.
