The council has revealed plans to close and merge Ladyton and Highdykes Primaries into the current St Ronan's building in Bonhill.
St Ronan's Primary would then be moved into the vacant Ladyton building, with cash spent upgrading both schools.
If it goes ahead, the move would happen next year (June 2015).
Ladyton Nursery will also be altered to cater for under-threes only, with three to four-year-olds moving to a centre withing St Ronan's Primary.
Parents in Balloch and Jamestown have also been told of plans to close and merge Haldane and Jamestown Primaries and merge them onto a shared campus on the site of St Kessog's Primary.
A new shared school campus would be built to house all three primaries, according to a report by Terry Langan, West Dunbartonshire Council's director of education.
A new Jamestown Nursery would be built on its existing site.
All six schools are categorised as category C, meaning they are in poor condition.
Under the plans, St Kessog's, Jamestown and Haldane would move into a new category A school costing £15m, while pupils in Bonhill would be taught in upgraded category B buildings at a cost of £1.5m.
The Highdykes and Haldane sites would then be sold off to help meet the costs of the project.
The Reporter revealed ealier this month that a list of 11 schools were on West Dunbartonshire Council's hit list.
Parents have been sent letters home today explaining the proposals.
A report will go to the Educational Services Committee on September 3 called ‘Schools Strategy: Regenerating Learning – Next Steps’.
