It follows two alleged incidents at Cameron House Hotel, which saw a Range Rover and Mercedes E Class stolen.

The first alleged theft occurred on July 25 when a quantity of personal belongings, including cash, a mobile phone and a set of car keys were allegedly stolen from a locker at the leisure complex.

That led to the alleged theft of a Range Rover from the car park of the resort.

In the second incident a black Mercedes was allegedly stolen after a locker within the leisure complex had been accessed.

The incident happened sometime between 6am and 6.30pm on August 7, the car was later found on Glenfinnan Street, Dumbarton.

Andy Roger, resort general manager, said: “In light of recent incidents that have affected numerous leisure outlets in the West of Scotland, we have reviewed our current security system with the assistance of Police Scotland and taken additional measures to enhance those previously in place.

“We have communicated these updates to our members along with the best practice advice with regard to keeping their belongings safe whilst using our facilities.” The 30-year-old will appear at court at a later date.
