The event staged within Jenners at Loch Lomand Shores on September, 4, saw 120 local people enjoy an evening of fashion, beauty and a catwalk show which saw 24 carers, from children to adults take the stage to model for the House of Fraser store.

The carers who took part were treated to the renowned House of Fraser VIP experience as they sat back, relaxed and allowed others to care for them as they got ready for the show. Special guests the Glasgow Warriors also attended to lend their support.

The event, also heavily supported by Cameron House who donated raffle prizes and sent staff from their spa team to help with models hair and make-up, SOS Fitness, and all who sponsored and made donations helped raise the profile of the work of unpaid carers locally. All monies raised on the evening from ticket sales, raffles and tombola, which totalled £1411.17 has been donated to Helensburgh and Lomond Carers SCIO.

David and Catherine Wynne, the parents of Ellie aged 10, who modelled in the show and also helps care for her younger sister, said: “Ellie looked so confident on the catwalk tonight, this event has made her feel very special and for once it’s something just for her.” Alison Smith, store manager at Jenners, Loch Lomond Shores said: “We are thrilled at the success of the evening, the models were fantastic and feedback from the audience and guests who attended has been extremely positive.
