A whopping 109,533 16 and 17 year-olds have registered to vote for the first time. Of that, 1,725 are youngsters from across Dumbarton, the Vale and Clydebank.
The largest number of under-18s registered to vote was in Glasgow, which saw 10,864 register. The smallest number by local authority was the Orkney Islands with 460 youngsters register to vote.
The figures were compiled by Electoral Registration Officers across Scotland. A total of 4,285,323 people have registered to vote in the referendum.
THE Vale of Leven Remembrance Association will be holding a car boot sale in aid of Erskine on Sunday, October 5 at Lomond Shores.
The event will run from 11am to 2pm and cars can get a pitch for £6, with vans and trailers £8 - no traders.
