The interruption to supply, which will be from 10pm on Wednesday November 19 to 6am on Thursday November 20, is required while we carry out work to assist West Dunbartonshire Council with a flooding project.
This investigative work will seek to establish if Scottish Water can provide alternative supplies during planned work to divert a water main. The diversion will enable contractors for the council to progress with the installation of a new culvert as part of its Knowle Burn Flood Alleviation project.
The 130 properties could also be affected by discoloured water and low pressure when their normal supply is restored. Some properties affected by the temporary disruption to supply will have their normal water supply restored before others, depending on their location on the network.
In addition, about 4000 properties in the Bellsmyre, Gartshake, Barloan and Broadmeadow industrial estate areas could experience temporarily discoloured water and low pressure as a result of the same work.
People affected by the disruption to normal supply, discoloured water or low pressure should run the cold water tap in their kitchen slowly until the water clears.
Scottish Water apologise for any inconvenience and thank affected customers in advance for their patience and understanding.
