Inspector Neil Smith said: “Community officers will be carrying out increased high-visibility patrols in the area with the primary aim of keeping people safe. I would encourage parents or guardians to find out where their children are, what they are doing and who they are congregating with.

“There will be a zero-tolerance approach to incidents of disorder in the area and youths found committing offences will be reported and if necessary arrested. To reiterate, our main priority is keeping people safe and I would urge parents to speak to their children about appropriate behaviour and encourage their participation in organised activities.”
