The tragic accident happened in city centre days before Christmas when the out of control lorry hit Christmas shoppers.

Jack Sweeney, 68, his wife Lorraine, 69, and their 18-year-old granddaughter Erin McQuade, all from Dumbarton, were among those killed.

The Crown Office announced earlier in the year that lorry driver Harry Clarke, 58, should not be prosecuted.

He is expected to answer questions at the inquiry if called as a witness.

The inquiry at Glasgow Sheriff Court, led by Sheriff John Beckett QC, is due to last several weeks.
