The Reporter understands that police officers made the grim discovery at around 1.40pm yesterday afternoon in Bellsmyre Avenue.
At the moment police are treating the death as "unexplained."
The woman, who was 45 year-old, has not yet been named.
A statement from Police Scotland issued today said: "At 1.40pm on Thursday police discovered the body of a woman within a property in Bellsmyre Avenue.
