VALE of Leven Academy hosted their first Careers Fair this weekend, with resounding success.

The school welcomed a high number of different employers, colleges, universities and other organisations recently in the school to the busy event to help guide and support students together with their parents and guardians.

There were options discussed for various kinds of careers that can be pursued coming out of secondary school. Some of the stalls had representatives from the likes Police Scotland and European Circuits Ltd.

The highly successful evening was designed to help pupils make better informed decisions about subject choices, apprenticeships, further education and the wider world of work.

A council spokeswoman said: “This was a very successful event and the feedback from pupils was very positive. This is just one way in which the council is helping pupils to make positive choices by supporting them to meet people who can offer a whole range of opportunities around further education, training or employment.”
