DUNBARTONSHIRE Chamber of Commerce has lined up a truly inspirational speaker for this year’s Christmas Business Lunch at Cameron House.

Paul Barrett, of IED Training, has built a reputation around Scotland as a thoroughly entertaining motivational speaker since he set up his own business following his remarkable recovery from appalling physical wounds whilst serving in Afghanistan.

Paul served as one of the elite Mountain Leaders of the Royal Marines for 21 years.

In 2008 he became one of Britain’s wounded warriors after stepping on an enemy landmine during a tour of Afghanistan.

He returned to full health following a six-year journey of incredible courage, grit and determination, rehabilitation and ultimate triumph over adversity resulting in remarkable success.

Damon Scott, chief executive, Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted and honoured to be welcoming Paul as our guest speaker this year.

“He comes highly recommended and guests are in for a real treat now we have a five-star speaker to match the surroundings of our five-star venue!

“This year Dunbartonshire Chamber will be supporting CHAS as the chosen charity for the Christmas Lunch and tickets are available that include a £10 donation.

“We will also be holding a fantastic fund-raising raffle at the lunch with lots of great prizes!”

The Business Lunch, on December 1, is open to all businesses and includes a networking drinks reception on arrival in the newly refurbished surroundings of the bar and heated terrace followed by a traditional Christmas Lunch.
