Police called after explosion in Alexandria

POLICE were called to an incident in Main Street, Alexandria earlier today (Wednesday) at around 12.50pm after an explosion in a house.

There was a household accident involving an air bed, which exploded.

The houseowner was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure and there is no danger to local residents or properties.
