Appearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Tuesday (April 1) John Gordon, from McColl Avenue in Tullichewan, was admonished on a charge of acting in a threatening or abusive manner in March last year.
He now just has to make it to April 12 to complete a community payback order imposed on him in relation to another matter, to be free from court appearances.
His solicitor, Brian McGuire told the court the order had been a massive help in putting the 53-year-old back on the straight and narrow.
He added: “The order was put in place to see if that helped his drink problem — it seems to have been successful.”
