Robert McKeown, from the Drumchapel area of Glasgow, was out fishing with a friend near Rowardennan on Friday night when he fell into the water.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the east of the Loch after receiving reports a man had fallen into the water.
Specialist divers recovered a body on Saturday afternoon after searching from early on in the morning. Police frogmen discovered a body near Rowardennan pier at around 1.40pm.
It is believed Mr McKeown was an experienced angler from the Drumchapel area.
Police are now appealing for any family members, or anyone who has information on his next of kin, to come forward.
Police Sergeant Donald Konkol said: "Following this tragic incident, we have so far been unable to trace the next of kin of Robert McKeown. Anyone who has information that can assist should contact police on 101."
