Michael McKell stole £70 worth of cosmetics from Boots in Main Street, Alexandria, on November 28, last year, and was also caught with a tenner bag of heroin on the same date.
The 42-year-old also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence on December 7, 2013, and last week appeared in Dumbarton Sheriff Court in order to hear his fate.
Phil Lafferty said McKell, formerly of Dalmuir, had been very successful with his Drug treatment and Testing order (DTTO) and had eliminated illicit drug use from his life and argued that the main aim of the order had been had been achieved. McKell, now of Tontine Park, Renton, was ordered to pay a compensation order of £70.
