Jonathan McLaughlin pleaded not guilty to visiting three houses in Old Kilpatrick asking for money to complete a sponsored cycle for the well-known charity.
The 18-year-old, of Dumbarton Road, Dalmuir, Clydebank, is alleged to have committed the offence in November last year, whilst on bail.
Mr McLaughlin will return to Dumbarton Sheriff Court on October 1.
