The 53 year-old of Whiteford Avenue, has been missing for over three weeks after leaving his home on Sunday September 28.

He is known to enjoy hillwalking and uses public transport to get around the country. Given the proximity of his home to Loch Lomond and the ‘Arrochar Alps’, police have asked Mountaineering Council of Scotland members and other walkers bear him in mind when on the hill or visiting bothies in those areas or wider afield.

Chief Inspector Donald Leitch of Dumbarton Police Office said: “Extensive searches and enquiries are ongoing in the search for Paul, with specialist resources including specially trained search officers, search dogs and the force helicopter being utilised daily.

“A dedicated enquiry team at Dumbarton Police Office has also been created with the sole purpose of finding Paul and officers from other Police Scotland divisions are also assisting in the search. Paul suffers from depression and asthma for which he takes daily medication and as time passes I am becoming increasingly worried for his safety and wellbeing.” Paul’s children Jennifer and Paul Jnr have pleaded for their dad’s safe return. Jennifer, 24 said: “We just want to know that he’s safe. Everyone really misses him.” Anyone who has any information on Paul’s whereabouts or who has had contact with him has been asked to contact officers at Dumbarton Police Office on 101.
