Amateur astrophotographer Mr P from Dumbarton captured this stunning image of the supermoon this morning.
The phenomenon could be spotted in the town at around 3.30am.
The rare event of a lunar eclipse coinciding with a supermoon - the moon appearing larger as it hits the closest part of its orbit to Earth - has captured attention worldwide.
The eclipse made the large Moon appear red, an event called a blood moon.
This phenomenon was last seen in 1982 and will not return before 2033.
