LAST week marked 100 days until the polls open for the Scottish Parliamentary elections.
In May this year, Scotland will choose its course for the next one thousand days and the election could not come at a more crucial time for Scotland.
After four years, many people feel the SNP hasn't done enough for us. My message is simple - Scotland deserves better.
Scots worried about their jobs deserve a government that will get our country back to work again.
Parents and teachers deserve better than more broken promises from politicians. The SNP have cut 3,000 teachers since 2007 including nearly 120 here in West Dunbartonshire.
Older people deserve better as they struggle with soaring fuel bills and worry about their care. The SNP Group in West Dunbartonshire have slashed millions from care and imposed millions more in charges for essential services.
And families working long hours to make ends meet deserve a government that works for them.
Between now and polling day I will be out knocking on doors, talking to people about their concerns, listening, learning and understanding.
Soon Labour will publish our detailed plans for Scotland - plans for jobs and growth, plans to make sure Scotland can withstand the Tory threat to jobs and walk tall again.
We start the next 100 days with momentum but no complacency. Labour is taking nothing for granted and will be fighting for every vote to win the trust of Scots again.
To those who left Labour four years ago but still stand for Labour's values, I say this: we learnt, we listened and we are ready to work hard for you again.
