CONSUMER Focus Scotland is looking for people from West Dunbartonshire to join its Consumer Network to help us shape policy for consumers and service users.

CFS is the statutory organisation campaigning for a fair deal for consumers in Scotland.

We have achieved a huge amount for consumers including a £70m pound energy bill refund from Npower for consumers across the UK.

In Scotland the passage of the Property Factors (Scotland) Bill has given more protection for users of factoring services, and we welcomed the Scottish Government's decision to allocate a further £1m for the operation of the Post Office Challenge Fund in 2011/12.

We want to make sure that the voice of all consumers in Scotland is heard and are looking for new volunteers from East and West Dunbartonshire.

We'd like to hear from you if you are interested in consumer issues such as education, the environment, health, food, housing, post and public services.

Our Consumer Network is a group of home-based volunteers who act as our 'eyes and ears' across the country - helping to keep us informed about the issues that concern ordinary people throughout Scotland. As part of our Network you can have your say on key consumer issues, giving us your views on the government, regulators and service providers.

Network members get to speak directly to experts at our discussion groups giving them an opportunity to put your points and questions directly to people who have the answers and the power to act.

Network members also help us investigate local services and facilities and are kept up to date with consumer issues through our monthly email roundup of key press stories and our quarterly newsletter.

If you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch with me through our website at http://www.consumerfocus.org.uk/scotland/consumer-network.
