WOULD the people who phone me about opinion polls, market research and related subjects please send me their home telephone numbers so that I can phone them back at the most inconsiderate times and ask them the most annoying, mundane questions that I can think of, the answers to which are none of my business?
I would also like to pass the numbers to as many of my friends and acquaintances that I can think of and this would ensure that they get lots of irritating phone calls and are thoroughly sickened by the whole business of cold calling.
Please note that as I do not know who is on the other end of the phone and, as fraud is often the purpose of the calls, I do not give out any information on the phone and I advise others to do the same. Maybe then we could get on with our lives in peace.
