Kane initially joined the Sons on loan for 28 days from St Johnstone but after netting four goals in his first three games, Ian Murray made extending the loan deal his priority for January and the Sons boss was delighted to tie up the signing for the remainer of the season.
Kane will be involved with the squad for tomorrow's match at Hamilton where he will be joined by defender Michael Miller who joined Dumbarton earlier today, on loan from Celtic until the end of the season.
