Saint Patrick’s completed a comeback win in their last pre-season friendly, winning 2-1 away to Milton.

Milton had opened the scoring via a Stuart Mitchell free-kick.

However, Dom McEloy supplied a cross on the left for Gardiner to nod home a minute later to equalise.

And after 18 minutes Saints completed the comeback when Ryan MacGilliveray charged down the left wing to pick out Danny Graham.

The goal deflated the home side after their initial bright start, with Mark Taylor a constant threat for Milton with his pace.

After the break St Pat’s looked the more threatening side via their front due of Graham and MacGillvary.

However, with 15 minutes left goalkeeper Proctor was forced to make a fine save, but in the end both teams were unable to find the net again.

Saint Patrick’s thank Milton FC for their kind invitation and hospitality and wish them all the best for the coming season.

Next week St Pat’s get their league campaign away to Cambusneth Talbot at 3G Dalziel Park, kick-off 3pm.
