Dumbarton Academy FP held their end of season awards night last week.

The awards were handed out to players and coaches prior to the club’s annual day out at the Musselburgh Races.

Accies finished fourth last season in the Caledonian League Premier Division, and will be looking to build on that for next season.

The Dumbarton club also found out their opponents for this year’s cup competitions.

Accies received a bye for the first round of the William Turner Cup, and were paired against Balmore in the second round.

Accies defence of the Douglas Smith League Cup sees them paired against Hamilton (home), Viewfield (home, Cambusbarron (away) and Milngavie (away) in the initial mini league round one phase.

Preparations are continuing as Accies launch their under-19 team for next season, with training continuing throughout June on Thursday evenings.

Under-19s manager John McGrath said: “I am delighted by the effort and application the players are demonstrating. This bodes well for the season ahead.”
